Anil Madhav Dave, Union Environment Minister Passed Away at 60

After suffering a cardiac attack, Union Minter for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Anil Madhav breathed his last at the age of 60 on 18 May, 2017 at AIIMS. Born in Barnagar, Ujjain, Dave had been member of Rajya Sabha since August 2009 after being re-elected to the Upper House in June 2016.

At about 7.30 on Thursday morning, Dave’s security personnel tried to wake him up, then took him to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi where he was declared dead by at 9:45 am. The minister was taken to AIIMS at around 9 am in the stage of cardiac arrest.

Anil Madhav Dave was appointed as the Minister of State (MoS) independent charge of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the Narendra Modi government on 5 July, 2016.
